Q: What parts do I need to buy to add a Bar Rail?
A: Adding a Bar Rail is simple, and we will walk you through all the steps!
- First, select the material for your Tubing:
Polished Brass, Polished Stainless, Satin Stainless, or Wood;
- Next, select the length of Tubing that you need for your entire bar;
- Add any 90° or 135° fittings you need to connect around corners or bends;
- Select Brackets to support the Tubing making sure to place on a bracket every 4 feet.
- Finally, choose the End Caps to finish the Bar Rail.
If you have questions when choosing feel free to call or email us with questions!
Q: Can I use metal Brackets and End Caps with wooden Tubing?
A: You sure can! All metal Brackets are compatible with wood Tubing. For End Caps and Elbows, make sure you select items that are marked “External Fittings.” External Fittings are components that fit around the outer diameter of the Tubing. Our Wooden Rails are solid, so you must use End Caps and elbows that fit around the wood.
Q: My bar is not a standard size, what can I do?
A: All you need to do to create a custom length Bar Rail is to connect multiple pieces of Tubing together to make a longer Bar Rail, or to cut down a standard size Tubing to make a shorter rail.
Making your Bar Rail longer:
The standard Tubing lengths we offer can easily be joined together with the
Internal Splicing Sleeve. To cover the seam between two joined pieces simply place a
Bracket over the joint. It’s that easy!
Making your Bar Rail shorter:
You can use a hack saw, a chop saw with a metal cutting blade, or any other saw that is used to cut metal. We always recommend you use a miter box any time you are using a hack saw to keep your cuts as straight as possible. If the ends of the tube look or feel rough use a wire wheel or file to smooth them. You can easily cover any rough ends with an external end cap or a bracket.
Q: My bar is curved. Is there a Bar Rail that will work?
A: Yes, we can help you build a Bar Rail to fit most bars. Our expert manufacturers can custom build exactly what you need.
